Story
**UPDATE**
We made it! Many thanks to all who have assisted in any way, giving time, support, encouragement and donations to make this a worthwhile little extra help for the Alzheimer's Society. We will leave the page open for donations should you be a new visitor and wish to contribute.
On the 17th July, 3 intrepid riders (David, Alan and Paul) will be cycling across Britain, from the shore at Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria to Runswick Bay, above Whitby, in Yorkshire, a distance of about 135 miles, all in one day with a support crew of family and friends.
There are at least three reasons why we are doing it:-
1. Because we can (or think we can)
2. Because it's fun (or we think it could be fun)
3. Any money we raise will go to the Alzheimer's Society
Alzheimer's affects just about everybody, either directly, through getting the disease, or indirectly as a result of knowing or caring for someone who does have it. Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia should be a priority in funding of research in order to make life better for those who have it, and those who care for them.
