Story
Hi, on May 2015, we are turning into superheroes to run for the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA), where Yue works. Please support us by donating to EIA. Every pound counts!
Yue--- I started volunteering with EIA in 2013 when I firstly moved to London. I was so fascinated by their work, using undercover methods to investigate environmental crimes. After my studies, I was lucky enough to officially become a part of the EIA’s wildlife team. I got to work with so many amazing people, not even to mention the lovely tigers, elephants and rhinos.
EIA has been doing amazing, tremendous work all over the world since the 80s, and especially in China - from exposing China’s burgeoning trade in tiger parts trade to campaigning to end . China is on the controversial forefront of wildlife conservation, on the one hand it provides habitats to varieties of species, but on the other hand it also has demand for some of the most endangered animals including tigers and elephants. As a Chinese-native, I that many overseas Chinese people are often not aware of the current challenges we face in saving the biodiversity or simply don’t have access to it. We would like to take this opportunity to spread the word of the great impact EIA has made, and also raise awareness amongst in the UK. This May, Kolin and I will “suit up” and become EIA superheroes for the tigers! Let’s ROAR!
---When Yue told me about this run, I said YES immediately. I have done a few runs before, but never have had a chance to do it for charity. It’s for good reason this time, and will be massive fun! Folks, thank you for your support, every pound will bring changes!
