Dear Friends,

Somehow I have ended up entering the Manchester  10K run.  For those of you who know me well, I am not short of a breakfast or two, and indeed I have been told I am a bit too 'healthy' around the waist. I have certainly avoided running in the past and this is most definately outside my comfort zone.

I have taken this on as a challenge for myself and I am pleased to be running (?jogging) for  'STEPS' a locally based charity focused on children with walking diffculties . Having had first hand experience with both the parents and children with limb deformities I feel this is a worthy cause, as are many of the charities involved in the run.

I have not set myself a target time having never run for a bus in the last 10 years but I do hope to be able to finish the race still running. I would be grateful for your support and positive comments or indeed insults (at a price) and would be delighted if  you can donate a little to the cause.
