We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

On 29th February 2008, Jenny and James Dzafic lost their bright, beautiful daughter, Jasmina Lily, aged two, to meningitis. Since then, Jenny and James have focused on raising awareness of this disease and raising money for the Meningitis Research Foundation. This charity offers support to those affected by meningitis, as well as funding research into methods of prevention and cure of the disease.

In honour of Jasmina, and in support of the brilliant work that Jenny and James have done on behalf of the Meningitis Research Foundation, I will be running a half marathon on Box Hill on Saturday 21st June 2008. Any spare pennies that you may have lying around that could be donated to the cause would be greatly appreciated!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Meningitis Research Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
