We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you are all aware by now our beautiful Zoe passed unexpectedly on 10.01.18 having suffered an aneurysm 4 days previously with no previous ill health concerns and was in great health following a fantastic family Christmas.

Zoe was my wife and life partner since high school blessing me with 4 beautiful children (Charlie 27, Alfie 20, Freddie 13 & Gracie 10) and an amazing Granddaughter (Skye 2). Zoe was infectious to all that met her, not only through her stunning looks and bright wide smile, but the way she was willing to listen, support and comfort all, whatever their circumstances.

Zoe worked tirelessly daily as a Mother, Housekeeper, Carer, Counsellor along with doing the school run and running a part-time beautician business but never complained once when anyone reached out for help. Zoe gave her support to many throughout her life whether is was family, friends or just newly met acquaintances and never expected anything in return. Zoe was loyal, trustworthy, kind, caring, considerate and ultimately a beaming shine of light of fun, laughter and happiness that many aspired to.

Having completed the London Marathon in 2017 with the full support of Zoe throughout, I raised funds for 'Children with cancer UK' and TTTS in memory of Gracie's twin sister Ruby who died at birth some 10 years previous. Zoe also raised funds for Cancer UK in 2017 for late auntie Dorothy who passed last year. Zoe and I had discussed what charity we should focus on next and we both agreed to 'Chrohn's & Colitis UK'. This is due to my eldest daughter (Charlie) currently suffering this ongoing and life-long illness.

We as a family and knowing what Zoe would have wished, we would like to request donations to this special close to our hearts charity in memory of Zoe and in lieu of funeral flowers. Any donation would be gratefully received to assist in support, research and improving care to all sufferers of this disease.

Zoe has left me a beautiful legacy of my children that I am blessed with today, I am sure she has also left an imprint on all your hearts through her happy positive outlook on life. Help us continue her legacy of helping others.

Zoe always told my children and I to live life to its fullest, never have regrets and always be happy.
