Story
Team Oarsome - 3 bikes, 3 peaks, 3 days
We don’t organise events at Team Oarsome, but if we did, they would be Epic…………check out www.teamoarsome.co.uk for more details.
You will all have heard of the national three peaks challenge. To climb the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), within a 24 hour period. Well here at Team Oarsome, we looked at that and thought to ourselves, ‘pretty epic, but could it be Oarsome?’ and in response to that some [idiot] suggested that it be done on bikes …………ridiculous ……………..right?
So our plan is to complete the three peaks challenge, but over a 72 hour period and to cycle the distance in between. This will see us cover around 450 miles by bike with about 6000m of ascent and with circa 26 miles of off-road walking to summit the mountains.
Engineers For Overseas Development (EFOD)
As if this weren’t enough, we will be finishing on Snowdon and will then be joining the EFOD annual ride from Conwy back to Cardiff, only a further 200 miles over 2 days. Details of this event can be found here: http://www.justgiving.com/efod2014
Each team member is completing this event to raise money for EFOD and a second personally selected charity linked at the bottom. All money paid to this page will go directly to EFOD and will be included in the overall fundraising total of the annual EFOD ride linked above, please contact the person you are sponsoring for more details and make sure you include their name in your message when you donate.
All money raised will go to future EFOD projects with every penny of the sponsorship going directly to the projects themselves, as EFOD is entirely voluntary with no admin costs and all members cover their own costs for their involvement

The TeamTo complete this challenge we have enlisted Team Oarsome’s best, an elite band of heroes who will each exceed their limits of strength, stamina and endurance. This team has been selected as a result of their ability to stare fear in the face and to never let their determination, camaraderie or honour be diminished - in other words, to simply be Oarsome.
