The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is funded entirely by voluntary donations and thats why we want your assistance in helping us to give some thing back to them.

The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the British Isles as well as inshore.  They also employ lifeguards on beaches in southwest England, south Wales and Norfolk.

The RNLI is one of 2 charities we are raising money for, the second being Cancer Research UK.  One in three of us are affect directly or via friends and family with the news that you have some form of cancer. In recent years the chances of survival from many cancers has increased but there are still many forms of cancer that take lives every year. Basically, we're going to walk up the 3 highest mountains in the UK within 24 hours, that's Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scar Fell in the Lakes, and Snowdon in Wales.

We're setting off up "Big" Ben Nevis around 6pm Saturday 23/05/09, and aiming to be back at the base of Snowden by 6pm Sunday 24/05/09.
