We will do whatever it takes to help you live life as fully as you can
Story
Well, I did it. I finished the Eyam Half Marathon in two hours and 8 mins.
I completed the task in exactly the same time as the Sheffield Half Marathon three years ago so I was really pleased as it’s a much harder course to tackle. In fact I rather enjoyed it in a strange masochistic way.
I was glad my colleague Kim and I had run some of the course and I was very glad that we hadn’t practiced other bits of it. If I’d have seen one of the hills we had to run up before race day I might have reconsidered all this fund raising business!!!
Oh – and I forgot my ipod so it really was mind over matter!!! But at least it gave me the chance to chat to a few people around the course and encourage a few others on my way....
Anyway, my legs are beginning to ache today and I might be rather stiff tomorrow but thanks to your help I have raised an amazing £1,005 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thank you very, very much to all those who donated cash – it really spurred me on.
For those of you who didn’t have time to donate before I ran, I will keep my Just Giving page open for a week or so.
All you have to do is visit my Just Giving page - http://www.justgiving.com/Abby-Worsnip
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again. I really appreciated your support.
