Event: Walk the Thames 2010, on 20 February 2010

Story

As some of you may know I am down to do a 40 miles walk, also known as “Walk the Thames”, taking place over two days on 20 and 21 February 2010.

The walk raises funds for London's free legal advice services that make a difference to the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in London. They prevent homelessness; reduce poverty and debt, challenge discrimination and combat exploitation.

I hope that you will support me and donate something, if anything, towards this walk. There are two methods of donating:

1) Donate online at http://www.justgiving.com/J-Malik, filling in the all the fields required;

2) Arrange to see me or reply to this e-mail in order to donate by using the paper sponsorship form.

Once you donate, your money will be sent directly to the charity. Additionally, to make sure that Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, please make sure you provide your address and tick the box to claim the tax back and gain extra money for the charity.

Come on…Don’t be shy…dig deep and donate generously now!!!

Thank you in advance.

About the charity

The London Legal Support Trust supports the work of social welfare legal centres in London and the Home Counties. Funds raised are targeted to assist requests for help from the centres. This financial aid helps the legal centres overcome funding crises, develop new services, support appeals and improve their premises.
