Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Yes this was my idea (after a few large cocktails at New Year I may add) but thankfully I have managed to convince 3 great friends to do the challenge too!!
So the the 4 of us, Lisa, Sarah, Jenni and myself will set out on Saturday to complete a 16 mile walk followed in quick succession by a 39 mile cycle!
The Rob Roy Challenge is organised by Martin Currie who have a number of very worthy chosen charities that each team member has to raise £400.00 for. I have decided that I would also like to raise money for a few other charities that are close to my heart!
As most of you will know after being a relatively sporty person at school and then at uni my idea of strenuous exercise now is the prospect of having to get up and get going after a large night out socialising with friends- hence why I have a feeling this Saturday may be a bit of a challenge! Having said this I am very much looking forward to it.
So many of you will get asked to 'dig deep' for very worthy charities and I fully understand those of you who have already given generously this year to friends taking on challenges, no doubt far greater than this, however I would be hugely grateful to anyone who can spare a few pounds to donate!
Peoples generosity at our Christmas carol service in memory of my father was beyond what we could have imagined and so I am hoping that those of you there won't mind me getting in touch again, cap in hand!
With love and thanks
