The Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol is the South West region's specialist centre for the treatment of premature and critically ill babies - looking after around 600 babies every year. The Cots for Tots Appeal aims to raise £1 million to help provide cots, incubators, life saving equipment and a Family Accommodation Suite for these babies and their families.
Your support will make a real difference to the Cots for Tots Appeal and the care of critically ill babies from Bristol, the South West region and South Wales.
I have chosen this charity as I was born 7 weeks premature and without the support of such units would perhaps not be here today. My godmother also works for the unit and I know she and the team work extremely hard and care a great deal about their work.
