I am lucky enough to work at Dorothy House Hospice Winsley, and work alongside the Day Patient and therapies Services. I get to see the amazing work our professionals and support
staff provide to patients and families. Dorothy House provides outstanding care both here at Winsley and within Banes & Wiltshire Community covering 700 Sq miles.

It’s a privilege to see regular patients thrive from our support, sometimes overcoming a simple task can help make the biggest impact on their daily life. And we can’t ever underestimate the power of talking about death and living with a life limiting illness early.

I have not only been able to experience our patients’ own journeys but personally Dorothy House has supported my own family. In 2019 my Stepdad, had come to the end stage of his Kidney failure, the shock from normal life to stopping his regular kidney dialysis was a decision no one ever wants to think about. Life quickly changed in a week and Dorothy House became part of our life. The community Nurse Specialist came in and scooped us up providing Hospice @Home care and everything we needed. The support and professional care we all received was unforgettable. In 2018 My Father-in-Law also received the support of Dorothy House during his cancer journey. Both we miss unbelievably xxxx

So here I am months ahead of the Vietnam Trek 2024 asking for your support, if you are able to help me reach my end goal now or nearer to pay day I would really appreciate your help.
