GOSHCC Kilimanjaro trek 2015 · 12 February 2015 to 22 February 2015 ·

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

As you probably know, on 12 February I will be heading off to Tanzania for 10 nights to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

Kili is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 5,895 metres above sea level. Think The Shard x 19!

At the base of the mountain it’s going to be a toasty 35c and at the top it’s expected to be a -15c (shiiiiiiiiiiiiit) and if the long climb is not enough I will not be showering for 7 days (URGH!).

As part of my trek I'm aiming to raise £1,000 for the kids and families at Great Ormond Street Hospital. You can sponsor me now at www.justgiving.com/MartinClimbsKili and you can donate by text message by sending UPUP60 £5 or UPUP60 £10 to 70070

Thank you for your support and don’t forget look out for my summit selfie on Facebook in a few weeks’ time!
