Patrick's pedal against poverty and hardship
I'm marking my retirement after nearly 40 years spent working on water projects in UK and overseas by cycling from John O'Groat's to Land's End between 24 July and 9 August 2010, in aid of various charities. This page is for donations to the Halcrow Foundation.
From disabled orphans in Romania and slum residents in Delhi to the disenfranchised in New York and the terminally ill in the UK, the Halcrow Foundation works to relieve suffering around the world. Click here for more information.
I am also keen to raise money for Centrepoint (http://www.justgiving.com/Patrick-Hawker-Cpoint) and Homes in Zimbabwe (http://www.justgiving.com/Patrick-Hawker-HIZ).
I'll be cycling about 1,050 miles (that's around 70 a day) in aid of these charities. Please sponsor my bum-numbing escapade by giving generously to one (or more!) of my chosen charities.
Thank you!
