Patrick's pedal against poverty

I'm marking my retirement after nearly 40 years spent working on water projects in UK and overseas by cycling from John O'Groat's to Land's End between 24 July-9 August 2010, in aid of various charities. This page is for donations to Homes in Zimbabwe (HIZ).

Homes in Zimbabwe provides food and fuel to safeguard the very lives of the elderly of all races in Zimbabwe who no longer have any means to support themselves due to the collapse of the local currency in which their pensions were paid.

I am also keen to raise money for the Halcrow Foundation (http://www.justgiving.com/Patrick-Hawker-HF) and Centrepoint (http://www.justgiving.com/Patrick-Hawker-Cpoint).

I'll be cycling about 1,050 miles (that's around 70 miles a day) in aid of these charities. Please sponsor my bum-numbing escapade by giving generously to one (or more!) of my chosen charities.

Thank you!
