All your sponsorship goes via Just Giving to Maternity Worldwide. Please tick gift Aid when donating. In Ethiopia as many as 1 in 7 women currently die in pregnancy or childbirth. Each one of these deaths is a tragedy that has a devastating effect on the family (many young children also die following the death of their mother) and hampers the community's development. Most of these lives could be saved by relatively simple, cheap measures. Maternity Worldwide is working hard to save lives in childbirth. For more information about what we do, click on link

The average cost of a delivery by a trained professional in a hospital in Ethiopia is only GBP15. This to most people in the developed world is a small price, but to people in Western Ethiopia is very expensive considering that the average wage is only GBP110 (US$185) per year.
So please dig deep and donate now.
I see the results of the work this charity does every year in Ethiopia which is why i'm asking for your support.
Thankyou,
Steve
