Walking for Water 2017

Join us on Sunday 15 October 2017 for a 6-mile walk in Bushy Park. Help us restore reservoirs and build wells to stop women and children walking miles in extreme heat to fetch water in rural India.

JEEVIKA TRUST tackles the roots of Indian poverty - working in rural areas with low-caste and tribal people, especially women - to help them build their individual and community livelihoods. Our latest partner is AKSHAYA KSHETRAM, a charity which cares for mentally challenged people and orphans.

Story

Can you help us raise £5,000 to bring safe water to women and families in rural India.

Jeevika Trust, Hampton Wick’s international charity, works with villages in south India to restore disused reservoirs, rainwater-catchment systems & build wells to provide safe, drinkable water.

DATE: Sunday 15th October, 2017, 2-6pm 

MEET: 2pm, Pistachios in the Park, Hampton Wick, Bushy Park KT1 4ET 

WALK: Six miles via waterways in Bushy Park

END: 5pm, tea and talk about Jeevika at the Glass House, Barge Walk, KT1 4AB
