Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
2010 has started off in Perth with sub zero temperatures, frozen rivers, a breath takingly beautiful snow and ice covered landscape, cold feet, salt crusted carpets...need I go on - and I'm heading up Mount Etna in September 2010 - Europe's most active volcano! This is the year of extremes.
A group of us from PKAVS are beginning to train for our first ever charity trek. Leaving on 15 September we will trek over 55km to the summit of the 3,350m high volcano. Hopefully we'll return after 5 days.
This is a major and extremely exciting challenge for the team and our aim is to raise over £20,000 for PKAVS. With your support, I know we can achieve this!
All funds raised will support PKAVS - an amazing charity that changes lives every single day. PKAVS helps the elderly, adults with mental health problems or limited mobility, and the many hundred young and adult carers who support them. Every penny raised stays local, helping disadvantaged children and adults living in Perth and Kinross. This is a charity like no other, and needs YOUR support today...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Your donation of £10 will buy a PKAVS friendship parcel for an isolated elderly person, letting them know someone is thinking of them this Christmas.
Your donation of £20 will provide a young carer aged 7 years with a 1-to-one support session and an invaluable break from their caring role.
Your donation of £50 would run a PKAVS electric scooter for a whole year, offering over 250 people their independence. That's 250 lives changed with just the click of a button!
Thank you to everyone who supports us.
So please dig deep and donate now.
