Story
Hi guys! Thanks alot for visiting my page.
As most of you will know our mum was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.Nobody in our family has ever had the disease, and two weeks before christmas it was an absolutly hellish revelation.
Naively we had the "it'll never happen to us" mentality as most people do.Fate proved us wrong though, and sadly statistics show that 1 in 3 people will suffer from some form of cancer during their lifetime.Even if you're family hasn't been directly affected,im sure you know or know of some one who has.
Thanks to the fantastic progress continually being made in the area of Cancer research Mum is doing great and is in the clear for the meantime but won't be in Remission for 4 more years. After a draining year of Operations,Chemotherapy,Radiontherapy,Losing all her hair, energy and strength she is thankfullynow back to telling me to clear the clothes of my bedroom floor, switch off lights behind me etc etc Luckily at the moment all she needs to worry about is taking a tablet everyday and going for an occasional check up.
Even during the worst times,we were all aware that it was a small price to pay if recovery was in sight. We have been so lucky ,but not everybody is...We want to do something about that. Whilst in 2008 we have more knowledge than ever,we still don't have enough.
MONEY PAYS FOR RESEARCH : RESEARCH PROVIDES KNOWLEDGE : KNOWLEDGE MAY ONE DAY PROVIDE A CURE!
