On 29 and 30 January 2010,  Tord 'Swede' Nilson (right) and Chris Tredget (left) will complete the Everest Challenge - Snow-Camp's first charity ski-a-thon. We'll be descending over 426,500 feet (130km) of slope in the Austrian Alps near the Zell am. See (http://www.snow-camp.co.uk/everestchallenge).

 

Snowcamp is a youth charity providing disadvantaged young people from London’s inner city areas with the chance to experience mountain sports, www.snow-camp.co.uk

As well as offering the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard, during a week’s stay in the Alps, Snow-Camp includes a Life-Skills course designed to enable young people to reflect on the key issues that impact their lives.

ABOUT SNOW-CAMP

Your donations all go to the kids at Snow Camp (check them out at http://www.snow-camp.co.uk). The goal of Snow-Camp is to get young and aspiring, but economically disadvantaged kids, off of London's worst council estates and into education, employment or training in the wintersports industry. Snow-Camp kids are future chalet operators, alpine chefs, indoor and real slope instructors and ski and snowboard technicians.

 

They're awesome young people and we're convinced that they will guide our wintery world in the right direction when their time comes. For now though, they need our support.
