It’s that time of year again when the London Marathon is upon us. Gary, (on the left), asked me if I was running it. I said that I was thinking about it, to which he replied that he had told everyone that I was doing it!

Now, in the Fire Service you can’t go against your word. So I told him that I had told everyone else that he was running it with me. Bhashguhdfnch-ch was his answer. At least that what it sounded like!

The training has started and didn’t realise that it was so intense. Runners in the past have said that to finish is 60% fitness and stamina, and the remaining 40% is psychological. I must be nuts!
