Well we have finished and it took us a mere 10 days. I say mere, there were quite a few painful hills. We are glad that we have done it and in the same breath we are glad it is over (or rather our backsides are glad!). 1100 Miles, 11(ish) Days, 2 blokes in lycra!!!
Gaz and I made the decision in September 2007 to carry out the most famous long distance cycle ride in the UK - John O'Groats to Lands End.
We have decided to carry out this venture in aid of 4 charities; British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (BLESMA), The Meningitis Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) and the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF).
The reason for choosing BLESMA is that with the current climate we find ourselves in and the nature of theatre that we are serving in, it is important that we support those that have had so much taken in protecting us.
