UPDATE - Sun 4th July
Wow! What a fantastic day! I not only survived it, but got a fantastic time too: 34 minutes 34 seconds. I'm very happy with that. Will be doing it again next year to improve our times and raise more pennies for our charities. Lozzy finished in a very respectable time of 45 mins. We're both buzzing from the experience! Thanks for all your support and if you haven't yet donated please do - you still can. Its for a really worth while cause.
Ta again Nic x

UPDATE - Thurs 24th June
Arghhh!!!!!!! First openwater swim and what an experience. Think I really under estimated this challenge! Found the not been able to see thing so disorientating and really scary. I'm really quite nervous about London now :(
__________________________________________________________________________________________Hi, thanks for visiting my fundrasing page. Me and Lozzy are going to do the Great London swim 2010 (www.greatswim.org) soon, as a while ago I thought it was a brilliant idea. Its a mile long swim (1600m) in the River Thames. The big day is aproaching fast (Sat 3rd July 10.30am - Arghh!!! only a tad scared now!) so please make both our efforts worth while and give as much or as little as you can. We're both able to swim this distance in the comfort of a nice clean heated swimming pool but openwater swimming all geared up in full body wetsuits is something of a new experience!!!! Promise picture's will follow and I'm sure you won't be disappionted.
I'll be swimming for the British Scoliosis Research Foundation (BSRF) as most of you know I have scoliosis and I'm held together with quite a bit of scaffolding. So this really does mean a lot to me. If your feeling extra generous you can donate to MIND Mental Health on Loz's page as that to has an important meaning. www.justgiving.com/laura-hastie
Thanks for your support, oh and if you have the weekend free why not come down (Victoia Docklands) and cheer us on!!!!!
Love Nicky xxx
