My story

UPDATE: Many thanks to everyone for reaching the target we originally set of £2,500.  This appeal will stay openso please feel free to continue supporting this cause as the amount raised so far is just a small proportion of the overall sum owed by the Football Club.

Each of the first three Pompey fans appeals have now exceeded their targets.  £11,000+ collected. Thanks all.  New appeals, for Faith and Football, and Tom Prince Cancer Trust, now underway - see

http://www.justgiving.com/pompeyfans4faf and http://www.justgiving.com/Pompeyfanssupporttomprince

For good article about the appeals - see http://blog.justgiving.com/community/pay-up-pompey/

Play up Pompey

After the wonderfully generous responses to the St John Ambulance and Harbour Cancer Support Centre appeals - see http://www.justgiving.com/pompeyfans4stjohnsambulance and http://www.justgiving.com/harbourcancer) - which both very quickly exceeded their targets, Pompey fans now have another chance to support an organisation owed money by the scandalously mismanaged Portsmouth Football Club.

The South Central Ambulance Service is owed £19,535.39 by Portsmouth FC.  This appeal aims to raise £2,500 of this sum to help fill some of the gap caused by the failure of the Club's owners and senior executive's to pay off this debt.

You can find out about the service by visiting http://www.southcentralambulance.nhs.uk/about-us/about.ashx  Donations will be made to the South Central Ambulance Charitable Trust, a charitable organisation set up to support the Ambulance Service.

Pompey fans don't want to see any local charities, organsiations, services or schools suffer as a result of the Club's actions. This site provides a further opportuinity to right the wrongs perpetrated by others in the name of the Club we support. Please contribute and thank you to everyone who has donated to any of the three appeals so far.

[Important note: In contributing in this way to the SCACT the intention is that Pompey fans are able to fill the void left by the Club's irresponsible behaviour.  It is not intended that this should give the Club's owners any excuse not to pay off the debt themselves. No Pompey fans should be expected to bail out those who have put PFC into its current desperate state.]

Whilst very rich people continue to steal from PFC and local charities, ordinary Pompey fans step in and help out.

I was made redundant in Feburary. I just hope the multi-millionaires to blame show some honour and pay up, but know they won't. Unforgiveable.
