Yorkshire businessmen Mark Murphy Wetheralds and Jonathan Streeton Katalyst Consulting will take part in a 3000 mile drive The Cannonball Europe July 2006

www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk

This tough challenging driving adventurer is being undertaken to raise vital funds for Yorkshire Aid Convoy www.yorkshireaidconvoy.co.uk which provides important medical aid and essential clothing directly to hospitals, orphanages and families in , (Chernobyl) and  already this year Yorkshire Aid Convoy has successfully lead a relief convoy of 4 Lorries from Leeds West Yorkshire loaded with £1.5 million pounds of vital aid which was successfully distributed in March 2006.

Yorkshire Aid Convoy plans another trip to either , or ( Chernobyl ) in September 2006 to deliver vital relief to families and hospitals. In the case of Chernobyl , it is still suffering the terrible after effects of radiation poisoning from the power station nuclear disaster in April 1986. 20 years on the aftermath is still appalling, genetic medical disorders affecting thousands of people in the with land still being off limits due to the serve radiation poisoning. And in the recent flooding of the Danube is wreaking havoc with thousands having to flee their homes.

The challenge for Yorkshire Aid convoy is funding each truck approximately £3,000 per return trip. The more funds that can be successfully raised the more medical aid and essential clothing can be transported to each troubled area to get the aid to where it matters most.

Mark and Jonathan plan to raise as much money as possible by taking part in the Cannonball Run starting 8th July 2006 and returning on 15th July 2006.

The fast and furious duo will be funding themselves to enter the Cannonball run. The Yorkshire Aid Convoy Car is a highly modified Toyota Supra which has been specially prepared and sponsored by Hyper Sports Vehicle Tuning www.hypersr.com for the event.
