Event: Dysart's Snowmobile Ride-In for Pine Tree Camp, on 6 February 2021
The 48th Annual Dysart's Ride-In & Q106.5 Egg Ride are virtual in 2021! This critical fundraiser for Pine Tree Camp will look a bit different this year, but the need to raise money for Pine Tree Camp's Open Door policy remains...

Story

My son Bradley and I have been participating in the Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp for over 15 years.

Bradley has attended Pine Tree Camp for 17 years and we got involved with the Ride-in after the first year he went to camp.

Although the Ride-In looks a little different this year due to Covid, Pine Tree Camp still needs our support.

Pine Tree Camp is a real summer camp for adults and children with disabilities in Maine. Covid-19 has been a challenge, but it presented opportunity, also. As a result, new programming has been launched, like Pine Tree Camp to You and Adventure Day Pass.

Bradley really enjoys supporting Pine Tree Camp and I’m really proud of him for that. It means a lot to him.

For me, the Ride-in is also about community and giving back.
We really, truly believe in the spirit of Pine Tree Camp. The Ride-in is a community event - the surrounding areas really embrace it. It’s always nice to see what everybody else has done. So many good people step up and support it.

Pine Tree Camp welcomes all who could benefit regardless of their ability to pay tuition. All proceeds from the Snowmobile Ride-in will go to Pine Tree Camp's Campership Fund to ensure this "Open-Door Policy" remains in effect.

About the charity

Pine Tree Camp opened its gates in 1945 as a summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Over the years, it has evolved into a place where children and adults with disabilities are able to participate in all the recreational activities for which Maine is known all year long.
