Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On March 21st I'm taking part in the world famous Brentwood Half Marathon. That's 13 miles, or 21 kilometers, of utter torment. The farthest I had ever run prior to starting training was 10k, so seeing as I'm stepping up this time I thought I'd pass round the begging bowl and ask my family and friends to kindly donate to one of two charities.

On this page I'm hoping to raise £500 for the Stroke Association in memory of my Gran who died in 2001 after she had a stroke. On my other page I'm hoping to raise £500 for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my Grandad who died just over three years ago from a heart attack (see http://www.justgiving.com/Darren-Yaxley).

I would be really grateful if you'd dig deep and donate to one of these fantastic charities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you,

Darren
