For many years we have kept fit at the gym and more recently walked up Moel Fammau, several times a week.

One day, out on one of our walks, we decided it was time to set ourselves a challenge.  We chose a big one – Mt. Kilimanjaro in East Africa - the world’s highest mountain that can be climbed unaided.  We also decided if we didn’t do it now, then we probably never would!

The challenge we have set ourselves is a personal one and one that we have funded ourselves.  However, many people have asked us if we are ‘doing it for charity’?

We have therefore, decided we would like to support the local group of Macmillan Cancer Support.   The group provides information on a practical, medical and emotional level for patients,  their families and carers.  Their aim is to improve the lives of those living with cancer and as 97% of their income comes from donations, we would like to help in a small way.

We have set up a website www.justgiving.com/FranAndLiz where donations may be made.  Alternatively, we have a Donation Form you may wish to fill in.

We would like to thank you for any donations received and will let you know how we get on!  Failure for us is not an option!
