Story
Its all over! I finished in 4:34:37. I went too fast for the first half of the race, a bit over excited I think, and lost a good half hour in the second half. Must do better. Next time...
Thanks again to all my sponsors!
Geoff
Thanks for visiting my page, now you've seen the anguished shot of me crossing the line in Berlin in 2009 please take a couple of minutes to make a donation to the CF Trust. Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life-threatening inherited disease in the UK and your donation will go towards research and care for those living with the condition.
Please also come down on the day and support me and all the runners. The London Marathon is a great event for spectators and I would encourage all those who can to come down, drink a few beers and cheer the 36,000 runners on. I will be wearing the Yellow Cystic Fibrosis Trust vest you can see above, with red go faster stripes.
There will be some sort of picnic afterwards in hyde park, and drinks later in the red lion and sun in highgate.
I am raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust again. This is good cause and if I hit my target I promise I won't be asking for any more sponsorship for a while.
Please give generously and I hope to see you on the day!
One final request, please send this page on to anyone who you think might be interested to see what i am up to. http://www.justgiving.com/Geoff-McCave
thanks
Geoff
