We fund research and support families to find a cure to Batten disease

Story

On 21st May, Joy will be doing the Batten's Disease Family Association sponsored walk for the 3rd time!  Thid time she will be walking the full ten miles to raise money to help children like her sister, Emma, who had Late Infantile Battens Disease. This is a progressive, genetic metabolic disease which affects one in 30,000 births. These children need 24 hour care in the last years of their lives particularly and this charity offers both practical, medical  and emotional support for these families as well as supplying funds for research. Obviously it is a charity close to our hearts, but also, it is such a rare condition that funds are always gratefully received. For further information please visit: www.bdfa.org.uk

Lots of love
