Story

This is the second year that Pine Tree Camp has been impacted by COVID-19. Most of you know how important this place is to me and the people that attend- many of which I’ve known for more than 20 years. But, although it has been impacted, Camp certainly hasn’t let COVID-19 stop it. In its 76th year of transforming lives of Maine children and adults with disabilities, Pine Tree Camp responded swiftly to the pandemic in March of 2020, immediately providing outreach through online programs, themed virtual summer sessions and unique Adventure Day Pass, which provided covid-safe outings for campers and their families/caregivers, and allowed people with disabilities to continue to enjoy their favorite outdoor activities. Then, through creative and successful fundraising, Pine Tree Camp can now run all four seasons, a long-time goal! For this summer, Camp continues to be creative in building on their program options. With all of these efforts, Pine Tree Camp needs our support more than ever - please join me in supporting this special place. Any amount is so greatly appreciated. Let’s help lessen the impact and help such an amazing g place continue to provide amazing programs for those that have battled more isolation than many of us have had to over the last year. Thank you!
