Story
This is going to be the hardest thing I have ever attempted!
150 miles from Seascale in the mountainous Western Lake District, through the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, finishing by the sea in Whitby. Yes ,there are lots of hills along the way - 4500m or 14,700ft. Normally taking 3 to 4 days, we are doing it in a day.
I did have the simple aim of cycling 100 miles in a day until Dan thought we should try something a bit harder #blamedan. I am now training harder than ever before, cycling 100 mile rides for training at the weekend, going to the gym, cycling in the evening, early in the morning, I have even started yoga to help my back cope with the miles!
I am part of a group of 18 riders completing this mammoth task all for a good cause. The Intensive Care Society is dedicated to furthering education and research into intensive care in the UK. We aim to ensure our members, who are drawn from medicine, nursing and allied health professions, are equipped with the knowledge to deliver the highest quality of care to their patients. The Intensive Care Foundation is the charitable arm of the Intensive Care Society that supports and funds research into intensive care
Thank you for all your support it will make a lot of difference over the final few hills
