Fundraising for Age UK formerly Age Concern England

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have thought long and hard about the charity that I would like to raise money for and decided to go for Age UK (combination of two charities - Age Concern and Help the Aged). They are a fantastic charity who focus on providing essential services and care to elderly people to allow them to retain as much independence as possible and make the later years in their life more enjoyable.

They focus on a number of areas which include isolation, poverty, neglect, preventing future deprivation and they also have a presence abroad in developing countries. We cannot promise everyone good health, but we will fight for good care for all of us. Where we find loneliness, we will reach out. When age becomes a burden, we will try to lighten the load.
