I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for Jersey Hospice Care because I think the range of services and the caring support offered to patients and their loved ones by Jersey Hospice are both incredible and crucial.

I spent quite a considerable amount of time at Jersey Hospice Care, visiting a very special friend who received end of life care there.  I was both amazed and comforted to witness the degree of care, both physical and emotional, tirelessly delivered by the Jersey Hospice Care team.

It costs over £5.9 million each year for Jersey Hospice Care to provide its services and 92% of this is self funded, yet all the services offered to patients and their families remain free of charge.

On a personal level, I would love to run the marathon in under 4 hours, however, to be honest, I will just be really happy to complete it and raise as much sponsorship as I can for Jersey Hospice Care.
