Story

Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may or may not know, Im running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of my best friend Adam Burr (Please visit his page www.justgiving.com/Adam-Burr).  After spending a number of years in the British Army, he fought for our country in  the Helmand province of Afghanistan.  During his time there he encountered many difficult situations which lead him to suffer with PTSD on his return to the UK and civilian life.  If it wasn't for the help and support of Combat Stress, I believe Adam would still be struggling to settle back into reality.  This is why we have decided to complete this run.  Raising funds for this charity would show our appreciation for all their help and support and will help with their future care of ex-service men and womens mental health issues.

Combat Stress is the leading charity specialising in the care of veteran's mental health.  Founded 90 years ago they have supported almost 100,000 veterans of every campain the British Forces have been involved with since the first world war.

Combat Stress is a registered charity, number 206002.
