Special Olympics athletes are experiencing isolation and loneliness now more than ever. Their clubs are not only a place where they get fit and learn a sport but they're a vital social outlet. Athletes are missing their friends and local volunteers whom are now part of their family.
Special Olympics' new Together at Home Programme is designed to support Special Olympics athletes at home during these challenging times, it enables their athletes to look after their physical and mental health and helps them stay connected with their friends.
To help support Special Olympics Ireland, we want you to take on the 100,000 step challenge to ensure Special Olympics can continue to provide their life-changing services to people with an intellectual disability in communities across Ireland.
