Story

As well as having to cross rivers and seas, many survivors have to take long journeys over land to reach safety. Our next challenge from Good Friday to the International Day of Living Together in Peace will honour those journeys and build on the brilliant success of last years Crossing Over Water Challenge.

The theme of the challenge is Journeys of Hope. You can walk or cycle any distance you like. So whether you are a serious walker or would just like to go for a Sunday stroll with your family, this is a great opportunity to get involved in our work and help us raise vital funds. You could also embark on a learning journey (e.g. reading a book a week on a human rights topic for the month), an activist journey (e.g. writing letters to MPs and members of parliament for the month) or many other types of journeys such as cultural or community journeys. To find out more, or register your interest contact Sabine at snierhoff@freedomfromtorture.org or fill out our online form .
