Every day, we receive information from health agencies about how we can protect ourselves from COVID-19. News media explain the impact. Businesses establish guidelines to help us continue working during the pandemic. We rely on these communications to keep us safe and informed. However, people who speak marginalized languages do not have equal access to these important communications. Access to credible information can be a matter of life and death, yet it can be hard to findeven for speakers of majority languages.

TWB is helping people get information they need in a language and format they understand. We are addressing the injustice people face based on the languages they speak.

It helps us develop cutting-edge technology like Uji, our AI chatbot, an innovative tool for multilingual COVID-19 communications. It allows us to build stronger infrastructure to train and engage our vibrant translator community, who have already translated over 5 million words related to COVID-19.
