Story

Thank you so much for choosing to support Guide Dogs in 2023. Whether you are running, cycling, skydiving or taking part in an extreme challenge, you are making it count for Guide Dogs. We hope you are raring to go and proud of yourself for joining our team of life-changers!

Every day, 250 people join the 2 million already living with sight loss and this number is set to double by 2050. We rely on generous donations and the money you raise will help us be there for children and adults living with sight loss now and in the future ensuring they dont lose their freedom and independence, just like Priya.

When I was partnered with my first dog, Wilf, it was love at first sight! He gave me the confidence to go out more and do everyday things, like picking up my daughter from school.

Having a guide dog is life-changing experience and Im phenomenally grateful to Guide Dogs for enabling me to be more independent. Priya, guide dog owner.

£140 could buy a Starter Kit for a new guide dog owner, containing everything they need to start a life with their new guide dog, this includes the iconic white harness.

If you haven't done so already, register your challenge with us at www.guidedogs.org.uk/ownevent to ensure we can support you on your incredible journey. If you have any questions please email events@guidedogs.org.uk

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
