Story

The Great British Dog Walk is a fun-filled sponsored walk that transforms the lives of deaf people.

Held at 15 stunning locations across the UK, The Great British Dog Walk is a great way to have fun, enjoy the great outdoors with your friends and family (with or without a dog!), and raise money to help deaf people to leave loneliness behind.

When you join the Great British Dog Walk you will receive a free stylish bandana for your dog, as well as a free activity pack full of fun things to do during your walk.

By taking part in The Great British Dog Walk, and getting yourself or your dog sponsored, you will be directly helping us to train more life-changing hearing dogs. Dogs like Kennedy, who is transforming the life of his deaf partner Jocelyne:

My hearing dog Kennedy does so much more than alerting me to sounds. He gives me great confidence and independence, not only at home but also out and about, and he brings me so much happiness. Hearing dogs truly are life-changers. -Jocelyne

About the charity

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.
