The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileCyril McFeeney and his wife, Kathleen, have been raising funds for the past 24 years by leading a walk of parents and friends of children with diabetes who attend Crumlin Children's Hospital.
The funds raised are supporting a number of projects including a fulltime diabetes nurse specialist; a Data Manager; medical equipment and more than doubling the size of the Centre to cope with the growth in numbers of patients including a current commitment to installing a new patient waiting area.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has meant this fundraising has been interrupted for the past two years but now Cyril has agreed to do the ultimate by walking a kilometre for every year he has been on this earth.
Cyril will walk 92 kilometres and is seeking your support to raise as much as €250,000 of this vital funding.
You can join Cyril and Kathleen by sponsoring them or, if you are interested in hill-walking, by also doing your own walk locally to yourself. All monies raised go directly to the Diabetes Centre at Crumlin.
