The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileAt Ark Franklin, our playground is badly in need of updating and school budgets do not allow for spare funds to build really exciting new projects for children.
With the fundraising that we hope to get this year, we are looking to create a new play space for children in the Key Stage 1 playground. The “stone pit” area of the playground is looking old and is a space not well used. The elected pupil members of the School Council are in agreement and we would like to create an exciting “trim trail” for our pupils to use. This will help the children to be fit and active, as well as have fun and play with each other and make better use of the space we are lucky enough to have in school.
Our goal is to raise £20,000 to support this exciting project.
To help raise these funds, our PTA has teamed up with the Junior Parkrun team for a sponsored run event - p(Ark) run. This is a pupil led event. Our students - many of whom have never ran this distance before - will be participating in a 2k run on Sunday 23rd March in Queen’s Park and would greatly appreciate your sponsorship. We know our children are up to the challenge and can’t wait to see them all action on the day, raising money to improve their own playground.
In addition, later in the year a group of parents will be taking part in the Blenheim Palace triathlon event as part of the Kensal Tri team. This event has been a significant contributor to our fundraising efforts in the past, and we would be grateful for your support through donations when this take place in late Spring.
If you are able to help by sponsoring, donating, or even participating, we would be extremely grateful.
Our amazing community has helped us so much in the past and we are always so grateful for the support that we have received. Thank you very much!
