Story
“I often take my books outside after supervisions. Sitting in the gardens helps me reset and think more clearly. I enjoy spotting wildlife and seeing how the plants change across the seasons. A refreshed garden space for Robinson’s anniversary would mean so much, giving students a new place to pause, reflect and reconnect throughout the year.” – Jude, 4th Year, NatSci
Robinson’s gardens are at the heart of everyday College life. They are where students pause between supervisions, meet friends, reflect quietly, and find calm during the busy weeks of term.
Our goal
During Binson Gives Month, we are raising funds to transform an existing garden space into a new anniversary garden – a welcoming, sustainable, and thoughtfully designed environment that will support students now and for generations to come.
Inspired by the generosity of a donor, the garden will also recognise the importance of motherhood and care, offering a place for reflection on those who nurture, guide and support us. The result will be a space that encourages connection and calm.
Why now?
Lent Term is one of the busiest times in the academic year. As students prepare for exams and assessments, access to restorative outdoor spaces becomes especially important.
Developing this anniversary garden now ensures it can take shape in time to flourish into Robinson’s 50th Anniversary in 2027 and beyond. It will be a lasting investment in sustainability, student wellbeing and community life.
