Climb Edward Mountain

Organised by Edward's Trust

Virtually climb Edward Mountain by climbing stairs. The equivalent of climbing Edward Mountain is climbing 13,830 steps of a staircase, (so if, for example you have 14 steps at 20cm high, that would mean climbing your stairs 31 times a day).

Story

After Christmas many of us have over-indulged even more so after the year we have had! So why not take on the Edwards Mountain Challenge get fitter and raise money for us at the same time!

Edward Mountain is situated in the US state of Montana but rather than going there (because we cant anyway!) we are asking you to virtually climb it by climbing stairs.

The equivalent of climbing Edward Mountain is climbing 13,830 steps of a staircase (assuming each step is 20cm high) Depending on how many stairs you have in your staircase this may equate to about 34 walks up the stairs a day. If you live in a bungalow find another alternative or even your front doorstep.

This challenge can be done as an individual,

* as a team (work colleagues??)

* with a designated quota of steps per person, or

* as a family with different targets for different family members.
