The Co-operative Bank is proud to partner with Refuge for seven years strong! Refuge is the countrys largest provider of specialist services for women and their children experiencing domestic abuse, supporting them to look forward to a brighter future, free from fear and violence.

Domestic abuse is the biggest issue affecting women and children in our society today. It affects one in four women at some point in their lives and around 750,000 children every year. We want to commemorate Refuges 50th Anniversary by raising a target of £5,000 throughout May.

The Co-operative Banks 50:50 fundraiser challenges everyone to choose their own/teams fundraising activity, incorporating the number 50 and fundraise at least £50. For example, you could cycle 50km, do 50 push-ups or crochet for 50 minutes every day for 50 days - be as creative as you like! You can ask your friends and family to support your 50:50 challenge by donating towards your fundraising target. Your total raised will be match-funded by The Co-operative Bank, from £50 up to £100 or up to £400 for teams! £52 could help Refuge provide a safe night's stay in emergency accommodation for a woman and her children fleeing abuse.
