We raise funds to support the Kent & Canterbury Hospital, benefitting patients, their visitors and NHS staff. Since 1953, over £8m has been spent on a huge variety of gifts for the hospital ranging from high-tech pieces of medical equipment, to smaller items providing extra comfort to patients.

Story

Hilda Levi’s Lasting Gift

Hilda Levi, a remarkable Whitstable resident and NHS supporter, left an amazingly generous gift of over £500,000 in her Will to our charity.

Now her legacy is powering the biggest leap forward in radiotherapy treatment that Kent has seen in years. The League has pledged £400,000 from Hilda’s legacy and is aiming to raise the remaining £400,000 from this appeal.

If the total amount raised is not enough to reach our target, or is greater than the target, the funds will be used to purchase other equipment and items of comfort for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital in compliance with our Constitution.

With your help Hilda's final act of kindness can improve cancer treatment for thousands.”
