Story
When kindness is shared, it grows
Each year, thousands of people in the UK spend Christmas on the streets, cold, hungry and lonely. For millions of people nationwide, winter marks the end of another year struggling through the ongoing housing emergency. Rents continue to soar. Too few homes are being built. More people than ever, including families and children, are stuck in unsafe or temporary accommodation, forced to make choices that leave them in poverty. Instead of looking forward to hot meals, warmth and time with loved ones, many people face insecurity.
Social Bite needs your help to create a movement of kindness to spread festive goodwill to people who are homeless and vulnerable this Christmas.
Since 2020, over 1.4 million Christmas meals, food packs, gifts, and essential items have been distributed through Festival of Kindness to people affected by homelessness and food poverty.
In whatever way you can, we are inviting you to join us to share some much needed kindness this Christmas.
