Story
Join SWEDA (South & West Eating Disorders Association) for an unforgettable evening and push yourself to your limits with our exhilarating Firewalk. Taking place on Friday, April 17th, 2026, on the stunning Cathedral Green outside Wells Cathedral, this is your chance to find your inner fire in a spectacular fundraising event. 🔥
At SWEDA, we understand that conquering challenges is never easy. But just like on the night, we are here for every individual, every step of the way.
We ask that each Firewalker aims to reach a fundraising goal of at least £150...hopefully even more! 🙏
Your fundraising goal of at least £150 enables us to cover the cost of both a 1-to-1 counselling session AND a support group session for up to 6 people.
As we have a limited number of spaces on the Firewalk, your commitment to raising funds will make all the difference to SWEDA, as the ticket price helps cover the event itself.
By taking part in the Firewalk and hitting your sponsorship goal, you will ensure that we can continue to offer care, compassion, and critical support when and where people need it most.
SWEDA provides vital support for individuals and families affected by eating disorders across Somerset and the wider region. We are a crucial lifeline for those navigating complex and difficult journeys. As demand for SWEDA grows, we need your help to sustain and expand these essential services.
Whether you're part of a local business taking on a staff challenge, a group of students determined to face your fears, or friends and family just wanting to give it a go, everyone is welcome at SWEDA'S Firewalk.
Fire will be lit at around 6pm, as participants arrive. They will then undergo a 90min briefing from the expert Firewalk UK team at 6.30pm, followed by the Firewalk at 8pm, as the sun sets over Wells Cathedral.
Delicious refreshments, a raffle, live entertainment from a samba band and a Rock Choir, plus a chance to find out more about SWEDA's vital work in the community. 🎶
Please get fundraising today by sharing this with family, friends and colleagues and help us support as many people as possible affected by eating disorders. THANK YOU! 🔥
