KEEP FIT! RAISE FUNDS! SAVE LIVES!
This July, Naijaid UK invites you to be part of something bigger than a fitness challenge. We are asking you to help us save lives across Nigeria.
Join the Naijaid 250,000 Steps Challenge by committing to walk 250,000 steps throughout July while helping us raise £30,000 to continue our life-saving work.
The funds raised will help us:
1. Train university students and first responders in mental and physical first aid, empowering them to become champions of health and safety within their communities.
2. Equip healthcare professionals (HCP) with advanced life-saving skills in acute and hospital settings.
3. Transport and distribute donated medical equipment from hospitals and organisations in the UK to government hospitals and healthcare facilities across Nigeria.
Your support creates real, measurable impact.
Thanks to funds raised in July 2025, Naijaid was able to:
1. Support Project Alert's award-winning team, which won a ₦2.5 million First Aid Training Competition.
2. Train over 70 community members in First Aid skills in Bauchi State.
3. Deliver a two-day Train-the-Trainer First Aid Course to more than 120 students and first responders.
4. Train over 70 healthcare professionals in Intermediate Life Support (ILS).
5. Donate essential hospital equipment, including wheelchairs, height-adjustable hospital beds, and medical supplies, to healthcare facilities such as LASUTH and Gbagada General Hospital.
Every donated essentials helps us reach more people with life-saving knowledge, strengthen healthcare capacity, and provide much-needed medical equipment where it is needed most.
With additional support this year, we will be able to:
1. Host the annual Naijaid UK Training Programme, which will be expanded to a four-day event.
Day 1: Healthcare professional training – expanding our Intermediate Life Support (ILS) programme to include "The Effective Prevention, Recognition and Management of Obstetric Emergencies and Trauma Based on WHO Guidelines: Focusing on Maternal Mortality in Resource-Limited Settings."
Days 2, 3 and 4: Expanding our Train-the-Trainer First Aid Course to include Mental Health First Aid training.
2. Support the winners of our Annual Student Train-the-Trainer Competition. The competition was won by a group of students from the University of Ilorin who had previously attended our courses. They came up with a well-thought-out initiative, known as ACT, which they will use to train individuals with speech and hearing impairments in Basic First Aid, promoting the inclusion of Nigerians with disabilities. The training will take place on 17 and 18 July 2026.
3. Continue donating vital medical equipment and supplies to healthcare facilities across Nigeria, helping to improve patient care and health outcomes.
By supporting this challenge, you are not simply funding a program, you are helping someone learn how to save a life, helping a healthcare worker respond more effectively in an emergency, and helping hospitals access equipment that can improve patient care.
