Gaza is crying out for help
Whoever removes a grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove a grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever brings ease to one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this life and the Hereafter. (Sahih Muslim)
£1,000 Provide emergency medicines for hospitals.
£70 - Emergency food parcel to those affected lasting one month.
£500 Provide clean water to 33 people in Rafah, helping us to build a desalination plant that will provide 60,000 people with fresh water every day.
£6,000 Rebuild and repair a damaged home in Gaza.
Families in Gaza are being bombed out of their homes, with entire apartment blocks flattened in airstrikes. As Palestinians observed one of the holiest months in the year, 53 people in Gaza have been killed, including 14 children. Sadly, the numbers are expected to rise as we enter Eid al-Fitr.
At least 320 people have been injured, putting extreme strain on an already overstretched healthcare system that was struggling to cope with the spread of COVID-19.
Please help us to provide urgent medical aid to Gazas largest hospitals, and other clinics inundated with injuries. In Jerusalem, we want to provide emergency food and medical assistance to those injured in violent clashes.
These projects are completely Zakat-eligible and an incredibly compassionate way to give your Zakat.
There is no Eid joy for Palestinians subjected to bombings, forced out of their homes or killed as they sleep.
We cannot stand by
Dr Mahmoud Shatat, Human Appeals Head of Mission in Palestine said: The scale of destruction here is heart-breaking. We cannot stand by when children are dying and families are being left homeless.
The situation is so dangerous that there have been days where I have had to instruct my staff to stay at home or else they might lose their own lives. It cant be right that even charities are being left unable to help, but Human Appeal will continue to do everything it can to get aid to those who need it most.
I implore everyone who has it within their power to de-escalate this latest wave of violence to do so, before any more innocent lives are lost. We cant go on like this.
Human Appeal has been working in Palestine for 30 years, delivering life-saving aid, and empowering the most vulnerable. But we need your help today to reach those whose lives are in immediate danger.
Dont forget about Palestine. Dont forsake Palestine in this critical moment.
